The
Victorian Sculling Association (VSA) is an Incorporated Association. The VSA
conducts the Winter Sculling Series for scullers who register with the VSA in
order to participate in the Series. The Winter Sculling Series has been run by
volunteers since 1914, and the Herald Shield Perpetual Trophy has been awarded
since 1927.
There is a newspaper cutting regarding the Victorian Amateur Sculling
Association 10 mile Marathon held in 1936. Note that this event involved 2
